YOU THINK ONE IRONMAN IS HARD.....
Have you heard about 8in8in8?
This weekend, endurance athlete, Craig Percival will start his attempt to complete 8 full 'ironman' distance triathlons in 8 consecutive days. And if that wasn't hard enough, he's doing it in all 8 states and territories of Australia.
On Monday, 7 March, he will be in Perth on the second leg of his endeavour. He will start at 5am at Melville Aqua Centre, then onto his 180km bike at approximately 6.00am. He will head out along the Freeway to Ravenswood then back to Burswood Casino by about 12.15pm, from where he will run 3 loops of the bridges before heading out to finish at the NEW Virgin Australia Terminal Perth Airport. He is planning to finish at approximately 4.15pm and then has to get on a plane to Adelaide at 5.10pm!
This is a phenomenal effort and Triathlon WA is asking all members and supporters of the sport to help Craig in whatever way you can. So, get your club mates together and organise that holiday Monday swim, ride or run so that you can be on course to cheer on Craig. Melville Aquatic Centre is opening early, specially for this event, and for a folding note donation you can swim with Craig. Efs triathlon club inc will be assisting him at the pool.
If you can't be there, how about donating to his fundraising page for the John Maclean Foundation at https://8in8in8.everydayhero.com/au/8in8in8. John Maclean Foundation exists to change the lives of young Australians who use wheelchairs.
