Triathlon ACT, Water Polo ACT & Canberra Aqua Park in conjunction with naming rights sponsor SportsCare Canberra, are excited to present the SportsCare Oz Day Aqua Fest.
From 2pm on January 26th Canberra’s Black Mountain Peninsula will come to life for a celebration of all that is wonderful about the outdoors and the water here in Australia.
An action-packed afternoon with Aquathlons, Water Polo and Aqua Park fun will be topped off with food & beverage stalls, music, face painting & more.
The SportsCare Oz Day Aqua Fest will feature the first leg of the ACT Aqua Series as well as the Beach Water Polo Fours - the twenty20 Cricket of water polo. Event partner Canberra Aqua Park is offering a $10 discount into the Aqua Park, for all those that attend between 2-6pm.
The event will double as a fundraiser to support the recovery of Triathlon ACT member Kate Molineaux who has suffered multiple broken ribs and fractures to her C2, C3 and T4 vertebrae, following a cycling accident in August 2021.
"The opportunity to collaborate with Water Polo ACT and the Aqua Park was something Triathlon ACT wasn't going to pass up. We all want everyone to enjoy being active whilst making the most of Lake Burley Griffin,” says Triathlon ACT Executive Director, Geoff Bartlett.
“We’re really excited to bring together our communities in what promises to be a fantastic day out, for the entire Canberra community”.
Come along – bring the whole family, join the festivities, and help raise funds to support the recovery of Triathlon ACT member, Kate Molineaux!
