Queensland athletes braved soggy conditions over the weekend for the Queensland Aquathlon, held at the beautiful Lake Kawana precinct this year. With the Queensland Aquathlon doubling as the 2020 Aquathlon State Championships, and holding World Qualfier Status, athletes were set for a bumper weekend.
It was great to see so many athletes enjoying themselves out on course and getting back into the swing of racing. Among the members being crowned as Champion over the weekend, we send a special mention to Ryan Marsh and Ella Wooldridge for taking line honours in the men's and women's fields respectively.
Unfortunately, bad weather set in before the Primary and Kids Aquathlon was able to take place, with both events cancelled due to lightening and safety concerns.
