The Nissan State Series heads to the Yeppoon Triathlon Festival on August 5-6 2017 for Race 3. Set along the stunning Capricorn Coast shore line, this festival offers exciting events and attractions for both participants and spectators, making it a true festival experience. This end-of-winter triathlon will deliver ideal racing temperatures and conditions. Athletes will enjoy the ocean swim in the beautifully calm Capricorn Coast waters, followed by fast and flat bike and run courses - all leading to fast times!
Aside from the exciting events taking place as part of the festival such as the Carb Loading Dinner, there are several other attractions to see in the surrounding area. A light bike down the Pineapple Rail Trail or a stroll through the Capricorn Coast National Park is a great way to experience the natural beauty of Central Queensland.
Last year’s winner in the men’s category in the standard distance was Clayton Fettell with a time of 1:54:48, and Kirra Seidel taking the women’s title with a time of 2:06:44.
There will be participation and series points available for this race. Specific point allocation can be found on the Nissan State Series website.
