January's Glenelg Swim Run Junior Enduro Aquathlon did not disappoint, showcasing some up and coming triathlon talent in South Australia.
Sam Creighton, Henry Pearce, Alice Braithwaite are three names among many South Australian Junior Triathletes who are featuring strongly in our Junior Series.
Our Junior Male Series sees Sam Creighton and Henry Braithwaite locked in Equal first with Bradley Butler sitting one point behind in third. Our Youth Male category is super close, with Henry Pearce leading Will Thomas, Tully Hickman and Alex Smith followed by Brayden McKenzie, Jacob McAuliffe, Archie Walsh, and Oscar Pietsch.
In our female division, many of our Junior athletes have stepped up to race Open Category including Alice Braithwaite and Paige Cranage who is currently second overall in our Open State Series, regularly taking home prize money. Our youth category has Daisy Braithwaite just one point in front of Ava Wilson.
The second round of our Junior Series is at Silversands with athletes competing in a Draft Legal Handicapped Triathlon (the handicap will be decided by Triathlon SA from the athletes Glenelg Swim Run Results).The Distances the athletes will compete in will be a 300m Swim, 10km, 2.2km Run.
After this race the juniors will compete at the Triathlon SA Schools Championships.
We cannot wait to see this months action of races for our up and coming athletes.
