HELL OF THE WEST | 5 February 2017
Located 363km south west of Brisbane, Hell of the West is not a forgiving course for the unprepared and is well known as one of the toughest triathlons in Australia.
In 2017 the event will host the Australian Long Distance Championships for Age Groupers and Elites as well as Race 9 of the Nissan State Series and the Queensland Championship – Long Distance.
Earn double qualifying points for selection on Team Australia heading to the 2017 ITU Long Distance World Championships in Penticton, Canada.
The course
2km swim in the freshwater of the MacIntyre River. 80km dead flat out and back cycle course. 20km three loop run in the blazing heat of the Goondiwindi summer.

TREX X-TRI CHAMPS | 11 February 2017
Race 11 of the Nissan State Series and the Queensland Championship – Cross Triathlon and the first of three Triathlon Australia Age Group ITU World Championships Qualifying Races in Australia for the team heading to Penticton, Canada in 2017.
The course
Swim in the freshwater, Ewen Maddock Dam on the Sunshine Coast. Fast and flowing single track mountain bike trails in Beerwah State Forest. Gritty off road trail run on winding single track through picturesque rainforest. Wet & Muddy sections!
KINGSCLIFF TRIATHLON
Race 12 of the Nissan State Series and the Queensland Championship – Standard Distance, Kingscliff Triathlon is a crowd favourite every year. It is also the final qualifying race for Team Aus headed to Rotterdam
for the 2017 Age Group Standard Distance World Championships.
The course
Swim in Cudgen Creek with the tide, the cycle follows both the stunning beach side and the Tweed River and the run leg of the event takes competitors along the picturesque beach and Cudgen Creek, as well as the newly added bitumen pathway on top of the southern creek groyne wall.
MORETON BAY TRIATHLON
The final race of the Nissan State Series and the Queensland Championship - Sprint Distance. Have one final crack at becoming the Nissan State Series Champion.
Moreton Bay Triathlon will also host the 2017 Nissan Club Championships, followed by the annual Champions of Queensland Awards Afternoon where our Nissan State Series Champions will be announced and crowned.
The course
Swim in the Moreton Bay, cycle along the iconic Ted Smout Bridge and run along the Redcliffe foreshore and race for Nissan State Series and Club Championships points.
