Queensland favourites Sophie Malowiecki, Brittany Dutton, Zoe Leahy and Elle Leahy dominate at the Australian Junior Triathlon Championship and lock up first 4 places in the ITU Junior Women race.
Queensland’s junior women continue Queensland’s triathlon supremacy at the Australian Junior Triathlon Championships held in Devonport, Tasmania on the 27 February. The Queensland junior women, hailing from QAS and Triathlon Queensland’s Development Program are putting the foundations in place early for progression through elite pathways, not unlike fellow Queensland professional triathletes, Ashleigh Gentle and Emma Jackson.

Queensland is known to produce triathlon Champions, and there are no signs of this trend abating. QAS Assistant Coach - Triathlon, Josh White, commends Queensland junior athletes’ dedication and work ethic when it comes to training. “These four athletes have been working hard together all season now, their main focus has not been on winning, but on the process of winning and the group culture to support each other through the journey” said Josh White.
