Juniors head to Adelaide

Round 3 of the Australian Youth, Junior, Under 23 Triathlon Series heads to Adelaide this weekend. Triathlon Queensland's Development Squad will have strong representation with 41 athletes racing.

Juniors Joanne Miller, Samantha Whiting and Victoria Gillies, who all currently sit in the top 10 of the series leaderboard, will line up looking to cement their places ahead of Round 4's double points race.

In the Junior Male category and all lining up for a start, Queensland athletes hold 5 of the top 10 places:  Nicholas Free, Lachlan Jones, Jack Sosinski, David Pinto and Luke Harvey.

Queensland is also strongly represented in the Youth category with current female series pointscore leader Keely Whittaker and male second place Lachlan Sosinski on the start line.

Daniel Mangano, Development officer for Triathlon Queensland says that it is "exciting to see where our athletes stand when moving back to a traditional triathlon format.  This is the first time this season most of our athletes will have travelled interstate and the first time for many racing in South Australia".

The individual events will be held on Saturday February 4th, with the relay event being held after the age group race on Sunday February 5th.
