State Series Event Schedule Announced to Challenge Queensland's Multisport Athletes

The 22/23 State Series has been announced with a thirteen-race series which is set to challenge age group multisport athletes all across Queensland in their quest for this year’s State Series titles.

The highly anticipated return of the Wellcamp Airport Duathlon will kick start the 22/23 State Series as athletes battle it out for the Queensland Duathlon Championships title. This year’s State Series incorporates seven State Championship events where athletes will bank double points in the State Series along with another 6 events offering opportunities to secure valuable State Series points. At the end of the 21/22 State Series, some age groups found themselves level points at the end of the season showcasing just how competitive the State Series is. The three additional events in 22/23 will no doubt be welcomed by competitors with yet more chances to score points and experience some of the best events Queensland has to offer.

Head of QLD State Services – Triathlon Australia, Mathew Sundstrom said ‘this year’s State Series is set to be the best yet with a diverse series of events and Queensland’s Championship Series across all seven multisport disciplines - Long Distance, Standard and Sprint Distance, Aquathlon, Aquabike, Duathlon and Off-Road Triathlon'.

‘Last year we witnessed some incredibly close racing with most age groups separated by only a handful of points, and some even level on points at the end of the series. Triathlon Queensland is proud to build on the success of the State Series with some interesting challenges for this season, including but not limited to, two long course events, three standard distance events and four sprint distance events'.

'It will be exciting to follow the series which is set to be the ultimate challenge for multisport athletes and a true testament of all round performance, versatility, and endurance across the season’.
