As triathletes, we all need guidance when it comes to our sport. From training, to nutrition, to when to rest, to race day encouragement, we all push harder when we know there's someone on our team who's looking out for us. Undoubtedly one of the most important roles in the triathlon community, as well as all sports in general, are our coaches. While the athletes themselves are at the forefront of the sport, our coaches act as our behind-the-scenes guides to help us achieve the goals we strive for.

Coaching an athlete or team is one of the most demanding, but rewarding experiences there is. When stepping outside of the highs and lows of athletic achievement, you'll also play an influential role in the lives of your athletes, on and off the course. While on the surface, you'll be improving their skills as a triathlete, you'll also be providing them with skills that will leave an impression long after they step off the track.

Getting involved in Triathlon Queensland's coaching program is an easy and rewarding way to get involved in the sport you love. There are many courses across Queensland targeted at all levels of coaching development, from absolute beginners, to high performance coaching. Each of the courses will develop you into a more holistic and better focused coach, and will provide you with the skills to shape athletes and help them reach their goals.
