Queensland Age Grouper, Penny Palfrey’s World Championships have gone swimmingly with a Silver medal performance in the 50-54 Females AG Aquathlon World Championships. The tropical temperatures of central Queensland proved the perfect preparation for Penny ahead of her Caribbean hit out, as she secured a podium position after finishing the course in an impressive 00:42:00. Penny’s World Championship results will be proudly celebrated by her club, Frenchville Triathlon Club back home in Aus. Well done, Penny!

2015-16 Australian Standard Distance Champion, Penny Hearn has opened her World Championships campaign on a high with a bronze in the 60-64 Female AG Aquathlon World Championships after finishing the Cozumel Aquathlon course in 00:50:59. Penny will be looking to add to her World Championships medal collection in the Sprint Distance race on Thursday 15th September and her Standard Distance event on Sunday 18th September. Reigning from Noosa Triathlon Club, Penny is a veteran on the Standard Distance course, will she be able to build on her Australian Championship and come home a World Champion? We sure hope so.
