The final race in the Youth and Junior section of the Australian Youth | Junior | Under 23 Triathlon Series was staged at  Perth's Way Out West event last weekend.  Race report can be found here: Race Recap

 

The fourth race in the series, which was also a double points race, wrapped up the series which started in Runaway Bay in December.  The Under 23 athletes have one more race in their series - Devonport (TAS) March 17-18th.

 

Queensland athletes dominated the Youth and Junior Series, with overall winners in 2 categories - Joanne Miller, Junior Female (17-19 years) & Col Curry, Youth B Male (13-14 years).

 

2017 ITU World Championships in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. 
Australia will be sending a Junior team to the ITU World Championships.  Athletes will be selected in accordance with the selection policy.  Automatic and discretionary places are available on the team for athletes who meet the required standards. Selection Criteria

School age Junior and Youth athletes will be gearing up for the School Sport Australia Championships or the Open Schools Festival in Penrith, April 18-21st.
