Triathlon Victoria held its first ever Development Coaching Course in Hong Kong! 

The course was planned and prepared by or coaching facilitator Mr Ryan Mannix.

Due to how successful the first course was we are holding another:

This course is designed for Triathlon coaches in the Asia Pacific.  It is focused at those who wish to coach juniors and age group triathletes and the essentials involved in being a great coach.  The course offers a mix of practical and theory based activities that aim to improve coaching knowledge and application.  

What is involved?

The two day course covers the essential of being a Triathlon Coach.  This Includes coaching swimming, cycling/ transitions, running, strength and conditioning, along with programming and planning.

The course offers a variety of presenters, both international and local and mixes both theory and practical elements.

Coaches are required to bring their bathers, bikes, helmets and running shoes to the course and will be participating in a range of activities.  For those that are injured or unable to participate you will be asked to participate in a coaching/ assistant role which will also be engaging and valuable.  

Where: Chinese International School, 1 Hau Yuen Path, Braemar Hill, Hong Kong, SAR

Cost: AUD $450 (including GST)

Who can register?

The minimum age to do the course is 16years old. It is designed for those wishing to become coaches or improve their current practice.

What level of qualification does the course offer?

This course allows the participant to become a recognised 'Development Triathlon Coach', who is capable of coaching both juniors and Age group Triathletes.

The accreditation is endorsed by Triathlon Australia and can be recognised in Asia Pacific.  The course does not include insurance in Asia Pacific, however, this can be easily accessed by the coaches through a local insurance agency in their given country once they are accredited.
