Competitors, spectators and event marshals are reminded that some areas of the Victorian Duathlon Series course are open to the general public prior to racing commencing. It is important that we provide members of the general public with courtesy and respect as they pass through the event area.
The safety of all personnel, including competitors, volunteers and the general public it our highest priority and as such please ensure that you adhere to the following warm-up guidelines.
Warm Up:
- Please limit warm-up prior to race start to the road area on Yarra Boulevard adjacent to the event village or on the grass track on the outside of the oval (Kevin Bartlett Reserve) adjacent to transition.
- The footpath and bush track are not for warm-up use and must remain clear for public access prior to the event
Your co-operation in limiting your warm-up to these areas will allow the management and safety of pedestrian and cyclists through the event site when required.
Please note: Road closures are in place from 7:30am and following a sweep of the course, the event organiser/technical official will declare the road safe for competitor warm-ups (approx. 8:15am)
