Paul Stevens - President
Currently employed by the Racing Integrity Commissioner as the ManagerIntegrity Operations at the office of the Racing Integrity Commissioner Paul isan innovative leadership executive with over 20 years’ experience in both publicand private sector organisations. He chairs the Victorian Racing Industry’sIntegrity Council Forum and also the Racing Integrity Operations Council. He isan active member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) andthe Governance Institute of Australia and is an independent member of NorthMelbourne Football Club’s Integrity Committee. Paul also sits as Chair of TV’s Governance and Finance committee and isa member with Bayside Triathlon Club.
Sonia Dunne - VicePresident
Sonia was the first female President of the Bayside Triathlon Club in its 25-year history, a position she held for two years. She has 5yrs + experience in senior leadership roles in major FMCG companies including overseas change management with a focus and strength in Business Based Change, Process & System Implementation, & Employee engagement through building effective teams and a high level of communication & relationship building to drive results.Sonia begins as Vice-President after 12 months as secretary and brings to the committee a passion for change, engagement & improvement and looks forward to successfully contributing to the ongoing success & sustainability of Triathlon in Victoria
Lawrence West - Secretary
A marketing and communications professional currently working as the Corporate Partnerships Manager for Museums Victoria; a role which is focused on building mutually beneficial partnerships and generating additional sources of revenue for the business. This follows close to ten years’ experience working in national sporting organisations (hockey) including four years as Manager of Commercial and Communications at Hockey Australia. He has a first-class honours degree in marketing from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow and has servedin a media management capacity at two Olympic Games and two Commonwealth Games.A frequent sideline supporter, cheering on his triathlon-loving wife, Lawrence joined the Triathlon Victoria committee in April 2016, is a member of the Governance and Finance committee and is focused on continuing the strategic planning, governance and finance agenda.
Peter Guy - Treasurer
Peter has been involved in sports all his life, commencing in football clubs as secretary from the age of 21, through to golf and triathlon following football retirement. Peter holds CPA membership, is a Graduate of the Australian Institute Company Directors and Fairley Leadership Program, and has a postgraduate qualification in System Audit – WHS. He has 15+ years at Executive level for large organisations in corporate services including roles as CFO supporting IT, HR, Legal, OHS and other. Peter is also an active Race Director and event manager for 10+ years, raced at all distances, (sprint through to Ironman - 9 times finisher) and comes to the committee to put back into the triathlon. He aims to assist, guide and build on the success of recent years through his experience as triathlon club President, Secretary and Treasurer, and lives in the rural community providing him an understanding of the challenges clubs face and the burden that can be placed on club committees.
Kym De Britt - Committee
Kym has been a member of Triathlon Australia since 1996 (ACT, NSW, TAS &VIC) and has competed in all distances from sprint through to Ironman and crosstriathlon. Kym is currently the XX with Jetstar following a period of X yearsas CEO with the Brazilian Butterfly Franchise Group. He has a Degree inBusiness Management (Finance) and completed a Master of Business Administrationin 2008. Kym has an excellent comprehension of business analysis, financialmanagement and reporting, and thrives on coaching and mentoring a team. He hasmaintained a passion for training and coaching over the past 25 years, duringwhich time he has coached a variety of sporing teams as well as maintaining hisinterest in driver training and motor sport. Kym currently holds a Level 1Triathlon Coach accreditation.
Amanda Green - Committee
Amanda is the Director of Human Capital at PwC where she leads the people function for the Consulting business in the Australian firm, following 4 years as General Manager of People, Culture & Performance at Richmond Football Club where she co-ordinated the development of a sustainable high-performance environment for all employees. She held a number of senior positions in leading corporates such as Australia Post, National Australia Bank and Telstra. She is a registered organisational psychologist with significant experience in organisational culture and transformational change. Amandais a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Member of the Australian Psychological Society. She holds a Doctorate of Psychology(Industrial / Organisational), Bachelor Arts (Psychology – Honours) andBachelor of Applied Science (Psychology / Psychophysiology). Amanda was drawn to triathlon because of the strong community involvement and recognises the unique and positive influence that sport has on health and wellbeing.
Jason Sharp - Committee
Jason works in the Local Government sector as Leisure Planner for Bayside City Council, responsible for policy and infrastructure that supports the community to be healthy and active. He has a strong background in Local Government and private sectors with a distinctive commercial focus. Jason currently holds another Board position as Treasurer of a NFP organisation, Loci Environment and Place. He is completing his Master in Business (Sport Management) at Deakin University. Jason competed in his first triathlon in 1992 with a strong attachment to triathlon he is interested in ensuring that triathlon in Victoria continues to provide the social and wellbeing connections to community through a strong club network that he has enjoyed over his time in the sport.
