Ringwood Father-Daughter Trio Ready to Run Rings around Ringwood
When Ringwood father of now 13-year-old Holly and 10-year-old Caitlyn, Greg Waite took his two daughters to Ringwood Triathlon Club for a come and try day for himself several years ago, he never imagined it would open up a whole new world of sport and community to his family.

Packed out field to take to the course for Race 2
On a sunny Sunday 2nd of September (a Happy Father’s Day also) a group of very keen athletes got up early in the morning and took a road trip to compete in Race 2 of the Victorian Duathlon Series at Altona.

Triathlon Victoria Development Camp a Success
The camp was a chance to bring 3 states together, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.
49 athletes and 16 coaches spent 5.5 days plus a further 12 associate athletes in for the Wednesday launched themselves into the new season.

Training Tools for the Triathlete
Professional Development for Coaches & athletes - learn how to analyse training and racing data (ie: heart rate and power output) in programs such as Training Peaks, Strava and Best Bike Split. As a coach, you will learn how to interpret, measure and provide feedback to athletes based upon the analysis provided by these analytical platforms. As an athlete, this workshop will provide skills on how to use your own data to train and race smarter.

Triathlon Victoria to Play it Safe by the Water this Summer
Triathlon Victoria will again be a partner in the Victorian Government’s ‘Play it Safe by the Water’ campaign for 2016/17... The announcement coincides with the release of the 2015/16 Victorian Drowning Report. The report indicated there were 43 drowning deaths recorded on Victorian Waterways during this period, which when combined with non-fatal drownings is a total of 113 drowning incidents for 2015/16.

Bayside Triathlon Club turns 25!
Next weekend the Bayside Triathlon Club celebrates its 25th Birthday! Established on the 17th June 1990, the Bayside Triathlon Club was formed to fill the gap between Melbourne and Mornington and by August of the first year the club’s membership had increased to 90.

Rohan Phillips named Victorian Legend of Multisport
Rohan Phillips, the latest legend to join the Triathlon Victoria Legends of Multisport first plunged into a pool four months before his debut triathlon, the 1981 Nautilus Melbourne Triathlon, which he won.

Congratulations to the Triathlon Victoria members who recently competed in the World Championships in Chicago. Victoria was well represented with athletes competing in the Age Group Aquathlon, Sprint Distance and Standard Distance Triathlon World Championships, as well as the Paratriathlon World Championships.

Triathlon Victoria is thrilled to announce the induction of Victorian triathlon greats Emma Carney, Tim Bentley and Stephen Foster as Legends of Multisport at this year’s Triathlon Victoria Awards. Not only have Emma, Tim and Stephen distinguished themselves at the highest level of sporting performance with their achievements but they have made a significant contribution to the sport, enhancing the image and interest of triathlon in Victoria and across Australia.

After the success of Ashwood School’s participation in last year’s TeamUp Active Tri Race 2, this year there are 56 students from both Ashwood School and Rossbourne School ready to compete in Race 2 of TeamUp Active Tri on 7th December. Triathlon Victoria 2013/14 Annual Report
The 2013/14 season saw the sport of triathlon in Victoria growing in a vibrant and ever more inclusive manner. Triathlon Victoria reported a 49% growth in membership numbers from 1742 to 2516 members surpassing a 15% target for the 2013-14 season.

Get TriActive
First time TriActive participant Steve is looking forward to gradually building up stamina and strength again and getting ready for the Gatorade Triathlon. Following the first session Steve said “for me it was about getting back into sport, I don’t do a lot of sport. I’m pretty excited about been involved in this program so getting out and doing a bit of running, doing the spin, swimming again it is fantastic”.
