Triathlon Australia is excited to launch the qualification calendar for the 2024 World Triathlon Age Group Triathlon World Championships.
The calendar features the first ever Australian Age Group Super Sprint Triathlon Championships, scheduled for 1 April 2023 at the Redline Games in Sydney, NSW.
While the destination is still yet to be announced by World Triathlon, the qualifying calendar represents an opportunity for age group triathletes earn selection and don the green and gold and represent Team Australia on the international stage.
Athletes from across the nation will have the chance to qualify for the super sprint, sprint and standard distance triathlon teams, with at least one qualification event in every state and territory.
Additionally, Triathlon Australia has finalised the Age Group Multisport Team qualification calendar for Townsville 2024, securing a number of further selection races to provide more opportunities for members to qualify.
Challenge Canberra and IRONMAN 70.3 Tasmania in 2024 have been added to the Townsville 2024 qualification calendar as Aquabike and Long Course World Qualifying Events. While Moreton Bay Triathlon Festival will host an additional Long Course World Qualifying Event in Queensland.
