TWA Executive Director Peter Minchin said “The addition of Terenzo to the field for SunSmart IRONMAN 70.3 Busselton highlights the popularity of Busselton not only within WA but amongst the international triathlon scene. Terenzo is a truly world class athlete and his participation only adds to what is fast becoming known as one of the must do races not only in the Asia-Pacific region but right across the world”.

In addition to Bozzone, current course record holder and 2014 champion, Tim Van Berkel (AUS) will line up on the start line on Saturday 2nd May. Van Berkel is coming off a 2nd place at the Asia-Pacific IRONMAN Championships held in Melbourne on the 22nd March and 7th at the IRONMAN World Championship held in Hawaii in October last year.

The women’s field for this year’s event is also one that will not disappoint.  The 2014 champion and WA local Kate Bevilaqua (AUS) will go head to head with the 2013 champion, Liz Blatchford (AUS) and 12 x Ironman champion, Gina Crawford (NZ). Ms Davis said “It is great to see such a strong female pro field at the event. We have some experienced athletes who have raced the international scene for a number of years mixing it with the new generation of professional athletes, including 6 females who are based in WA”.

“We encourage all to head down to Busselton for a race that should not be missed” said Ms Davis.
