CLASSIFICATION FOR ATHLETES WITH A VISION IMPAIRMENT

Classification for Athletes with a Vision Impairment 
Thursday 17th September 2015 and Tuesday 22nd September
Enfield, Sydney

Vision Australia in conjunction with the APC are conducting a classification day for athletes with a vision impairment in Sydney and surrounding areas.
Vision Impaired classification is generally required for competition in Para-sports such as Athletics, Swimming, Cycling, Equestrian, Rowing, Triathlon, Goalball, Sailing, and Alpine Skiing.

When: Thursday 17th September 2015 and Tuesday 22nd September 2015
Timeslots must be booked

Who can attend?
Generally athletes who attend this day will compete in events at through school and/or club from local through to national level against other athletes with an impairment.
Athletes with a vision impairment wishing to compete in Para-sports must meet the minimal eligibility in each eye as follows:
• Visual acuity less than or equal to LogMAR = 1.00 (6/60) and/or
• Visual field less than a diameter of 40 degrees.
