Triathlon Australia is committed to a rigorous independent review of the sport and its performance at the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.

That review is scheduled to take place following the completion of the Paralympics and the Olympic cycle.

The review will be led by the Australian Institute of Sport and is scheduled to take place following the completion of the Paralympics.

TA President Michelle Cooper says a thorough review would be important regardless of Games outcomes and has been part of the board’s long-term planning and commitment to continuous improvement.

Ms Cooper said Triathlon Australia was also committed to a culture of respect within a safe and fair sporting environment and urged any athlete or coach to raise any specific concerns with Sport Integrity Australia.

Sport Integrity Australia is responsible for responding to concerns regarding bullying, intimidation, discrimination or harassment.

The Australian Institute of Sport provides independent and confidential mental health/wellbeing support for current and former athletes and staff across the Australian high performance sports system through its Mental Health Referral Network (https://www.ais.gov.au/MHRN) and AIS Be Heard channels.
