Triathlon Australia goes global for National Performance Director

Triathlon Australia goes global for National Performance Director

Triathlon Australia has begun a global search for the role of the sport’s National Performance Director, with the defining objective of making Australia the best triathlon nation in the world.

Triathlon Australia has, as part of that process, begun advertising for the position to cover the fast approaching new Olympic cycle leading up to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and onto the 2020 Games.

Triathlon Australia CEO Anne Gripper said: “The new National Performance Director will be responsible for the achievement of sustained international success through strategic leadership and effective implementation of the National High Performance Program for 2013-2020.

“We want to ensure that Australia regains and maintains its position as the best performing nation at the Olympic, Paralympic, Commonwealth Games and ITU World Championship events”

“This is a high level strategic leadership position which will have significant influence on the outcomes of the high performance aspect of our sport.  We are keen to hear from a broad range of potential candidates who may have a business or consultancy background with an interest in the sport of triathlon. It is not necessary for the candidate to have been working in high performance sport” commented Gripper.

Boyden global executive search has been engaged to manage the search and selection process.

Potential applicants are invited to access the Job Advertisement from the Triathlon Australia website.
