The 2022 World Triathlon Age Group Sprint and Mixed Relay World Championships are set to begin with the Parade of Nations on Thursday 23rd June, to kick off an exciting and action-packed three days of racing.
 
Sam Dwyer and Peter Smith will be flying the Aussie flag at the Parade of Nations after being selected as 2022 Australian Age Group Triathlon Team Flag Bearers in Montreal. Between them, the pair have competed on a total of 13 Australian Age Group Teams and are incredible ambassadors for triathlon in Australia.
 
With the Age Group World Championships intertwined with the fifth stop on the World Triathlon Championships Series for our Elite athletes, as well as World Triathlon Junior World Championships, a show of true grit, resilience and excellence will be center stage.
 
Team Australia athletes will be hitting the starting line in the heart of Old Montreal alongside 1500 of the best international age group triathletes, and for the first time ever, the team will be taking on the Age Group Mixed Team Relay events. With four Australian teams entered across the 20-29, 30-39, 50-59 and 60-69 age categories, we are looking for forward to being a part of World Triathlon history.
