Aussies in Action

Charlotte McShane wore the Txapela (beret) for a third time, winning the Lekeitio Triathlon in her seventh appearance at the event. National Talent Academy athlete  Emma Jeffcoat also graced the podium for a bronze in her first taste of racing this tradition in the beautiful Basque country they both call home right now.

Michelle Duffield was solid and finished second at the inaugural Ironman 70.3 Busan race in Korea. Disappointment for Kate Bevilacqua with mechanical problems but soldiered on to finish fifth.

The second round of the French Grand Prix - Triathlon Valance drew out a world class field with Vincent Luis (FRA) claiming back to back wins and Barbara Riveros upstaging Vicky Holland (GBR) in a sprint finish.

Their were plenty of Aussies that turned out for the Sprint distance race - Emma Jackson finished fifth, another good sign of her returning to her best while partner Drew Box (18th) was the best in the men’s race. It's a good hit out for a lot of athletes in heaving training to sharpen the skills.

Meanwhile Jack van Stekelenburg finished 15th at the Junior European Cup in Kitzbuhel.
